Acadwings User Agreement

1. Introduction

Welcome to Acadwings, an academic media and review platform that connects Students, Parents, Experts (Educators & Academic Professionals), and Institutions. By accessing or using Acadwings, you agree to comply with and be bound by this User Agreement, our Privacy Policy, Content & Review Policy, and Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.

Acadwings is owned and operated by Acadwings, headquartered in New Delhi, India.

2. User Categories and Roles

2.1 Students

Students may create profiles, post reviews about institutions, and interact with other users responsibly. They must refrain from posting misleading, defamatory, or unverifiable information about any institution or educator.

2.2 Parents

Parents can share experiences, rate institutions, and engage in academic discussions. They are responsible for ensuring their comments are truthful, respectful, and free from defamatory or unlawful content.

2.3 Experts (Educators & Academic Professionals)

Experts may share educational insights, publish content, and engage with students and institutions. They must ensure that all content complies with intellectual property laws and ethical standards of academia. Experts are not official representatives of Acadwings unless formally contracted.

2.4 Institutions

Institutions may create verified profiles, showcase their programs, respond to reviews, and upload content related to their offerings. Institutions agree not to post false claims, testimonials, or data meant to mislead users. Acadwings reserves the right to verify or suspend institutional profiles found in violation of this Agreement.

3. Platform Role and Liability

Acadwings acts solely as a neutral digital intermediary. We do not endorse, verify, or guarantee the accuracy of reviews, opinions, or comments made by any user group.

Content posted by users represents their personal opinion and not that of Acadwings. Acadwings is not responsible for disputes, damages, or losses arising from user interactions, decisions, or institutional claims.

All users agree to hold Acadwings harmless from any such consequences.

4. Content Ownership and Licensing

Users retain ownership of their submitted content.

By posting, you grant Acadwings a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, store, and promote your content for platform functionality and marketing.

You confirm that your content does not infringe upon any copyright, trademark, or intellectual property rights. Acadwings reserves the right to remove or edit any content that violates this Agreement or applicable law.

5. Prohibited Conduct

• Post defamatory, fraudulent, or misleading information.
• Upload content that promotes hatred, violence, or discrimination.
• Impersonate individuals or institutions.
• Engage in commercial advertising or solicitation without authorization.
• Post unauthorized personal data of others.
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access data from Acadwings.

Violations may lead to account suspension or permanent ban.

6. Institutional Representation

Institutions acknowledge that:

• All uploaded materials must be truthful and verifiable.
• They are solely responsible for the accuracy of claims, statistics, rankings, and other institutional information.
• Acadwings is not liable for reputational harm resulting from user reviews or third-party opinions.
• Acadwings reserves the right to verify institutional credentials and may require documentation to maintain verification status.

7. Data Collection and Privacy

All data processing follows the Acadwings Privacy Policy, consistent with applicable privacy regulations including the IT Act 2000 (India) and GDPR (EU), where applicable.

Acadwings may collect user data such as names, profiles, reviews, and analytics for platform optimization.

Personal information will not be sold or shared with third parties without consent, except as required by law.

8. Account Responsibility

• Maintain confidentiality of login credentials.
• Ensure information provided is accurate and current.
• Immediately notify Acadwings of unauthorized access.

Acadwings is not liable for losses due to compromised accounts.

9. Moderation and Enforcement

Acadwings reserves full rights to:

• Remove, edit, or restrict content that violates platform guidelines.
• Suspend or terminate user or institutional accounts.
• Disable or hide content reported as inappropriate or unlawful.

Acadwings may cooperate with law enforcement or authorities for investigations.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Acadwings is not responsible for direct, indirect, or consequential damages. The platform is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, reliability, or completeness.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Acadwings, its directors, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising out of:

• Your content or actions on the platform.
• Violation of this Agreement or applicable laws.
• Infringement of third-party rights.

12. Termination

Acadwings may suspend or delete your account without notice if:

• You violate this Agreement.
• You engage in fraud, harassment, or unlawful activity.
• You post repeated false or defamatory content.

Acadwings may retain user data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

13. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in New Delhi, India.

Acadwings encourages amicable resolution of disputes via arbitration before court proceedings.

14. Updates to Agreement

Acadwings may modify this User Agreement periodically. Continued use after updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
